Alien Table

The work is the outcome of interdisciplinary collaborative project with a material research laboratory. This project is dedicated to identifying optimal design and construction methodologies that harness the full potential of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) and additive manufacturing technology. The primary challenge of the project is to develop a design product that simultaneously addresses various objectives, including functionality, feasibility, aesthetics, and performance. To quantify qualitative factors, a deconstructive analysis was employed, enabling us to undertake multi-objective optimization through the utilization of parametric design tools. In this context, the designer played a crucial role in orchestrating the reconciliation of conflicting goals and criteria.
